This quote is important to me just as the artist of this song is important to me; this artist is someone that has helped me shape who I am today by the way of words with her music. Finding artists that are on the rise of the music industry and not quite there yet is an amazing feeling because when they reach their stardom, all one can think is I was there from the beginning, I grew with this person, I knew her when no one else did. Something about this artist is she really cares about the impact her music has on people; always writing songs her fans can relate to, always meeting with fans, always wanting to hear their stories; when I listen to her music I feel a connection with her and connecting with her was one of the best things that I could’ve done. I found this artist when I was a sophomore in high school, late at night, scrolling through soundcloud. This year a lot of mistakes were made, leaving me grounded, untrusted and hated by most of my friends and family. I turned to music as my source of happiness and a void from my problems. To me, this quote shows that everybody has secrets and everyone makes mistakes. Although I have made my fair share of mistakes, I'm able to understand that everyone makes mistakes and it makes us human. It also means that everyone has secrets and you never truly know someone because of secrets.
