Using Basic Elements of Visual Language
This photo is designed to affect the older generations. I used black and white to add a more dramatic effect while not overwhelming it with colors. Typically, older people prefer simplistic techniques. They do not like to be flooded by colors and prints. Additionally, the cursive font appears elegant and is often the choice of manuscript the elderly use. Given that this quote relates to a lot of the elderly population, I chose to put the yellow star/symbol next to the author's name to draw attention to the quote. It adds light into the picture, as if it is giving hope.

This design is directed toward the younger, innovative population. It has many vibrant colors with overlays of different effects, creating stars and streaks of light. Younger people prefer things that catch attention. By using this background, it provides exciting colors while still keeping the focus on the bikers. They remain in black, bringing attention to the main focus of this picture. By adding the star symbols to each corner, they provide balance within this image allowing everything to flow properly.
