For years now I have been a huge fan of country music singer Jake Owen, along with my sister and it's one of the few things we mutually enjoy. For my sister's birthday in the summer of 2014 my mom got my sister two Jake Owen tickets to see his “Days of Gold” tour in Iowa and my sister brought me with her! It was easily one of the most fun nights ever because of my sister Anna and I being able to enjoy something together. The concert was in a smaller concert arena so we were pretty close to the front but no where near getting to touch him, while he was on stage. At one point towards the end of the show the whole arena went black and the music stopped. All of a sudden a spotlight turned on at the top of an aisle that my sister and I were both on the edge of. As the music started playing Jake Owen walked down our aisle singing. Of course we were both freaking out and couldn't contain ourselves! We both got the opportunity to give him a hug and get a close up picture of him as well. Because of media and this music in particular, my sister and I got the opportunity to form a closer connection than we had before. Now every time I hear the song Life of the party it means more to me than the lyrics it presents, because it brings back good memories from a rare moment that I got to experience with my sister.
