This particular song, is about Chris Martin’s ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow’s, father passing away and he is speaking to her through the song, letting her know things will get better. At the time, Chris and Gwyneth were married, and when her dad passed Chris Martin wrote this song for a way to tell her that he is there for her.
