“The Climb” came out when I was in fifth grade and I only listened to it because it was popular and so was Miley Cyrus. I didn’t initially understand the meaning behind it. As I grew older and heard the song, I began to relate to the lyrics. Miley Cyrus wrote and released this song in her teenage years/early twenties. She had experienced the adversity that teens constantly struggle with, and I was just starting to experience this. It reminded me that no matter what there will always be struggles and obstacles that I have to face, so I might as well push through and be strong. I think this song had an affect on many teenage girls my age, because even now, if someone turns “The Climb” on, teenage girls immediately begin to sing along. I believe this is because so many of us were able to relate to the lyrics. I think this song will always have a special place in my heart. It will always be a good reminder that no matter how hard life may get, it is just life and I need to keep fighting to get to the top of that mountain.
Wow, I can relate my life to a climb as well
